Age of Baroque

Baroque period spans wrought the years from 1600 to 1750 BC.
Because it has called the AGE OF EXPANSION. Baroque painting include realistically depicted human figures, a vivid use of color, and extensive use of foreshadowing techniques  Many of these characteristically can be seen in the work of Caravaggio, who is perhaps the most famous painter of the Italian Baroque era. The most stunning Characteristic of Caravaggio painting is his use of chiaroscuro  an extreme contrast between light and the dark value.

Baroque was derived from the Portuguese word Barraco.
they have five elements in baroque first is the MOTION the second one is SPACE next is TIME, The use of LIGHT and lastly the dramatic.

There were shared preferences among artistic from different nation with respect to subject matter and style. but there were also significant differences. In each country there was a considerable variety of styles from which to choose. A dramatic, emotionally charged style that sought to represent the supernatural was yet a third,, it was choices of subject matter frequently went hand in such choices of style.

The Rennaissance

"Renaissance” is the French word for “rebirth.” Rebirth means that the humanism during the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries in Europe. The Renaissance period was a time of rebirth of humanism and new discoveries in fine arts, music, literature, philosophy, science and technology, architecture, religion and spirituality.

No other artistic movement has contributed more to development of art as a whole. Because Before  the Italian Renaissance artist held the same position in society as any other skilled craftsmen and were given as much respect as carpenters and goldsmiths. But, A new revolution in art opened the eyes of the world to the glory of the world itself. Because the subjects of the art are  religious in nature. Aside from commissioned portraits most artists made their livings painting biblical scenes and portraits of saints. It was generally assumed that only religious imagery was deserving of reproduction.

Renaissance art was more realistic than painting of the Gothic or Medieval time periods. The concept of perspective was placed into paintings allowing for the painting to look like a scene out of real life. The correct use of light and shadow were changes that also came about during this time. These aspects helped to give Renaissance art a more realistic look and feel and boost the popularity of Renaissance art

Ancient & Classical Arts!!

Questions:

1. What are your most striking impressions on Ancient and Classical Arts?
2. Do you believe these two eras of art have any influence on your personal style as an artist?
3. What interests you most on the predominant artistic style and subject matter of the two periods.
4. Do you think it will be easy to create artworks inspired by the two periods of art? Why or why not?

For me the most striking impressions is the Art of Ancient because Ancient refers of art that produced by the advanced cultures of ancient societies with some from of writing, such as those of ancient in China, India, Mesopotamia, Persia, Egypt, Greece and Rome.

The art of per-literate societies is normally referred to Prehistoric art and is not coved here.
Even Classical Arts refers to the ancient art and architecture in Greece and Rome. It is particularly connected  with geometry and symmetry rather that individual expression.

Ancient times affect modern ones, as the influences of the past commingle with those of the present. Ancient Egyptian art and architecture influence design choice of today, but contemporary designs achieves a modern fell with upgraded material and different textures. This allows an updated and fresh take on an old look.

In Ancient times Greece was the birthplace of Western Cultural. Because the modern democracies owe a debt to Greek beliefs in government by the people, trial by jury, and equality under the law. Which they introduced such as importance of literary forms as epic and lyric poetry, history, tragedy, and comedy. In their pursuit of order and proportion in the Greeks. Greeks created an ideal of beauty that strongly influenced Western Art.

I think the most  interested predominant artistic style in CLASSICAL ARTS. is the Sculpure or the Archaic Period because all kouros (male) and kore ( female ) statues represent sponsored subject or are designed as decoration of religious building, or as immortal reminders of the virtues of a deceased.

In ancient art the best i think is The Ancient Near East because it as the first to paractice the intensive year-round Agriculture it gave the rest of the world the first writing system, invented the potter's wheel and then the vehicular and mill wheel

Now a days i think it easy to create an artworks because the materials and elements are now invented and more people interested to create they own artwork.
